Five awards were received by local businesses and community members for their efforts in bettering the Mitchell Community, including The Depot and Friends of Firesteel.
While some city leaders were seeking to end the summer Corn Palace gift shop agreement with the Chamber of Commerce when it expires in August, the Mitchell City Council will ultimately decide whether to approve the new proposed one-year agreement on Tuesday
“We have great trails around the lake to make this happen. We are anticipating this to bring about 150 riders to Mitchell,” said Cody Denne, a local mountain biker who helped organize the event.
