Weekend of celebrations for Nelson's lucky Lotto player after winning First Division


The woman then tucked her ticket away and didn’t think twice about it until the following morning.
“I was having a shower the next morning when my sister yelled through the bathroom door, ‘the winning Lotto ticket was purchased from Pak N Save Richmond!’”
“It was the quickest shower of my life – I jumped straight out of there to check my ticket,” laughed the woman.

After the win was confirmed, it was celebration time, with bubbles for the adults and grape juice for the kids.
“I scanned my ticket through the Lotto NZ App and saw ‘Major prize’ appear on the screen – I couldn’t believe it! I had no idea how much I had won, so my sister and I went straight down to the supermarket to check.” ....

Thirteen Lotto players are celebrating this morning after winning a share of Second Division, including one who bought their ticket in the Bay of Plenty.
The 13 people each won $18,637 with Lotto Second Division in last night s live draw.
One of those tickets was sold at New World Westend in Rotorua.
One lucky player also won Powerball Second Division, taking their total winnings to $33,457. The winning Powerball Second Division ticket was sold at Countdown Tikipunga in Whangarei.

Agreements (FPAs) are on the way for historically underpaid
workforces like bus drivers, supermarket staff, healthcare
workers and cleaners is a welcome landmark and could be the
