The Commerce Ministry's Intellectual Property Department has announced the registration of Nam Dok Mai Si Thong mangoes from Phitsanulok as a new geographical indication (GI) product.
The government is upbeat about sales of Thai geographical indication (GI) products, expecting sales including exports to outstrip the 42 billion baht originally projected for this year.
The Commerce Ministry pledges to continue promoting geographical indication (GI) products, aiming to raise sales of GI products including exports to more than 42 billion baht this year from 39 billion baht in 2021.
