More than a week after naming Heather Contreras as its new superintendent, the Pajaro Valley Unified School District Board of Trustees will consider an employment agreement with Contreras at its Wednesday meeting.
"Our choice is Capitola Mayor Kristen Brown, an eight-year member of the City Council, who also is chair of the county Regional Transportation Commission and former president of the Association of Monterey Bay Area Governments (AMBAG)," writes the Sentinel Editorial Board. "Brown’s election would elevate a woman onto what has been an all-male board."
