PWB helps feed the ducks

Olson approached Bailey and Cailleaux with the idea after hearing about their dedication to the cause. “I heard what they were doing to help ensure the local ducks could survive our tough winters and thought it would be pretty great if PWB could step up to support them,” Olson said. “One of our core company values is giving back, and we always have a significant supply of malted barley on hand here at the Brewery as it’s one of our key ingredients for making beer, so I reached out to Brock to see how we could help.” Bailey and Cailleaux welcomed the contribution.

Prince George Free Press » Localized flooding reported

Flooding on the Nechako River has entered its 25th day. Contractors and city crews continue to combat unpredictable high water conditions in low-lying areas along River Road and North Nechako Road, according to reports by the city As of 5 p.m. on Wednesday, the ice jam was about five kilometres long – nearly half its peak length of 9.5 km on New Year’s Eve. On New Year’s Day, ice began to break up, causing sudden, localized flooding. “In one location near the Foothills Bridge the water suddenly rose three to five feet and in less than 25 minutes, had dropped four feet,” a city report said. “Similar conditions occurred later in the day [Jan. 1] in areas further downstream.”
