Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], September 12 (ANI/NewsVoir): This year's Legendary Awards organized by the Rotary Club of Chennai Legends honoured 15 personalities in the field of Higher Education consisting of principals and professors who have made an impact in their college and the society at large. The chief guest for the awards function was Dr Thamizhachi Thangapandian, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha). Dr Thamizhachi Thangapandian spoke on the importance of teachers in the society and the impact they have on children. She was felicitated by Dr Kumar Rajendran, President - Elect, Rotary Club of Chennai Legends and Nalini Olivannan. The welcome address was delivered by Rtn. S. TN Election Results 2021: After 26 hours of counting, Vijayabaskar pulls off win in Viralimalai

PUDUKKOTTAI: The Viralimalai assembly constituency, which saw an emotional campaign between Health Minister C Vijayabaskar of the AIADMK and DMK s M Palaniappan witnessed an equally dramatic counting day, which stretched well into the next day, due to allegations of EVM tampering.
Victory finally came for Vijayabaskar on Monday, 26 hours after counting began on Sunday.
This is the former Health Minister s third consecutive win from the constituency and highest victory margin so far. Vijayabaskar secured 1,02,179 votes and defeated DMK s M Palaniappan by 23,598 votes. 
This is the third time the two men have clashed and was expected to be Palaniappan s last chance at a win.  ....
