Staffers at the Donald W. Reynolds Library are looking to bring the community together to discover how the needs of the local retirement population are being addressed during the pandemic. The public is invited to watch a community-wide conversation on conquering COVID-19 and retiree inclusion Friday at 11 a.m. via Zoom. The conversation will feature a panel of local community partners, and if time allows, a question-and-answer session will follow.
The local library was one of 200 selected to participate in “Libraries Transforming Communities: Focus on Small and Rural Libraries,” an American Library Association (ALA) initiative helping library workers better serve their small and rural communities. The award comes with a $3,000 grant to help the library host the public conversation. According to ALA, over 300 libraries nationwide applied for the grant.
