The Time Coordinates project will bring together Russian and Hungarian students, Vologda.RF reports. Students of the Vologda State and Szeged Universities will become its participants. Together with universities, the organizer is the Vologda branch of the Russian Geographical Society.
One of the key areas of cooperation between universities will be work on preserving historical memory. It is planned that young people from both countries will begin joint research and search work to establish the fate of Soviet soldiers-compatriots who died on Hungarian territory. The OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media should give an objective assessment of the campaign aimed at fighting objectionable media in Latvia. This is stated in the statement of the Russian permanent mission to the OSCE, TASS reports.
According to Russian diplomats, Riga is more and more actively pursuing a course aimed at discriminating against Russian media. This is how the permanent mission commented on the termination of the broadcast of TV channels, which are very popular among the Russian-speaking population.
One of the largest cable TV operators in Latvia, Tet, announced the termination of the broadcast of Russian TV channels. PBK, which broadcasts the programs of Channel One in the Baltics, NTV Mir, Ren TV Baltiya, Kinokomediya and Kinomix, are excluded from the broadcast.
