Ahead of the November 11 governorship election in Imo State, candidates from the Owerri Zone Senatorial District have called on Governor Hope Uzodimma of the All Progressives Congress to drop his second-term or reelection ambition.
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has identified some politicians as allegedly sponsoring kidnappings and killings, not only in Imo State but the entire Southeast region of Nigeria. IPOB had earlier accused two former governors of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha and Emeka Ihedioha and former Senator, Ifeanyi Ararume of conspiring to frustrate Governor Hope Uzodinma’s administration, thereby behind the ongoing insecurity in the state.
