This is Owen’s first piece as a FanGraphs contributor. Owen is a recent college graduate who is passionate about all things baseball, data, and baseball data. Aaron Judge has always been a fascinating case study; anyone with such an extreme profile helps to build our understanding of both what is possible and what is relevant to our understanding of which players are good. Yankees News: Aaron Judge gets day off with "lower body soreness"


: Two notable Yankees both started Wednesday’s game on the bench, albeit for different reasons. After coming out for the ninth inning of Tuesday’s game, Aaron Judge wasn’t in the starting lineup, although it was somewhat expected based on Aaron Boone revealing they were looking to get him a day off as Judge had been dealing with “lower body soreness.” Gary Sánchez also wasn’t in the lineup as Kyle Higashioka continued his hot start of the season on Tuesday and has just generally been playing better than Sánchez.
: Speaking of Judge, he has been a consistently good player since his breakout 2017 season. However, one development so far this season has the potential to make him even better.
