At sacred heart, the need is painfully obvious. Every day there is a winding down out winding line out front who need help with housing and food. Its hard. You have to pray a lot. They failed to meet the goals, especially when it comes to low income housing. The region only issued permits for 9 . It was required to create. At 71 of the way toward hitting that goal. May be the state says hey, here is a big housing minimum goal come you have to hit this minimum. And cities treated like a ceiling instead of a floor. They also come with teeth. This time we seem to mean it which is very exciting. The state has said okay, we are serious this time. If cities dont hit the goals, they are just intervening. You get to choose how you meet the goals, not whether you meet the state housing goals. Of the goals represents a real opportunity to execute, and that if this goes well, we could see some scandal impacts. We can adjust that if we all just do our part and all sacrifice little for the greater ....
