Casa de La Luz remembers CEO Lynette Jaramillo

Lynette Jaramillo, co-founder and chief executive officer of Casa de La Luz hospice died from heart failure on Wednesday, Feb. 10, at the age of 78.  She was at home in the arms of her husband and with her daughter when she passed away, said her son William Jaramillo II. She was pronounced dead at Banner University Medical Hospital.  “It was just a beautiful end of life, you know, being with her loved ones,” said Jaramillo II. “The reason she started the hospice was so that nobody died alone.”  Only 7 years old at the time, Jaramillo II still remembers his grandmother, Dorothy Todd dying alone in a nursing home. He explains this led to his mother creating Casa de la Luz in 1998, also as a way of dealing with her own grief.

The 10 companies are: Transforming the criminal justice system Evidential (Manchester based) has produced EVITA, a major incident VR training platform that equips police officers with essential soft and hard skills. Backed by £1.3 million Innovate UK funding, Evidential has also developed another product, Golden Hour that uses AR to improve the preservation of crime scenes. Helping luxury retail during the pandemic Emperia (London based) is creating virtual reality experiences that boost sales and customer engagement for businesses in art and luxury fashion. Improving the way that products can be seen online in 3D, Emperia is working with more than 25 clients, including Maddox Gallery and Skarstedt, to bring the physical experience into the virtual world.

CEO Of New Life Homeopathic Clinic Puts Smiles On Faces Of Widows Ahead Of Christmas

  Chief Executive Officer of New Life Homeopathic Clinic, Dr Mark Agyei has put smiles on the faces of widows by donating items worth thousands of Ghana Cedis to over 100 widows ahead of the Christmas festive season. He made the donation over the weekend at the clinic’s headquarters in Dansoman, Accra. The items donated include bags of rice and Christmas hamper. Dr Mark Agyei also gave the widows cash. The extraordinary occasion dubbed “Widow Charity Ball 2020” was attended by some respectable people in the country. Vice-Chancellor of Valley View University, Prof Daniel Kwame Bediako, as well as gospel musicians Nacee and Cece Twum, were all in attendance.
