Pilot Ben Watsky got the idea for sturdy, critter-proof free food pantries as a disaster response when he was volunteering in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria. He founded Open World Relief, a charity that installed 8 of these pantries in Capital Region neighborhoods. Northeastern Woodworkers volunteers built them. Local charities and houses of worship keep the pantries fully stocked.Georgia FishburnShow MoreShow Less
