TUPELO â¢Â Outgoing Mayor Jason Shelton will make abbreviated âState of the Cityâ presentations in each of the cityâs seven wards and allow candidates running for municipal office to share their campaign platforms. The first forum will be at 6 p.m. on Monday, May 3 at North Green Street Church of Christ at 6 p.m. The next forum will be at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 5 at the American Legion post. âBoth mayoral candidates and each council candidate (for that Ward) will then have an opportunity to speak about their plans for the next four years,â the mayorâs office said in a post on Facebook. âWe hope you can join us!â ....
