In this region, most hillslope gradients in the high-relief areas approach a threshold value, and landslides are the dominant surface erosion process. For this work, we analyzed the hillslope erosion process by determining the excess topography from the threshold hillslope. Slope analysis found a similar normal distribution of slope values for six large drainage basins with different lithology, precipi

A Disaster Is Just Waiting To Happen In Himachal

‘A Disaster Is Just Waiting To Happen In Himachal’ Avay Shukla, whose report warning against rampant hydel projects in the state was ignored, says ‘the die has already been cast, and there’s nothing we can do to stop it’.
