National Preserve Threatened by Oil Drilling
BIG CYPRESS NATIONAL PRESERVE,
Fla. At 9 a.m. on Saturday conservation advocates Betty Osceola and the Rev. Houston Cypress will lead environmental leaders and the media on a socially distanced hike in Big Cypress National Preserve along the route of a proposed oil well pad access road.
A press conference and socially distanced rally will follow the hike. Supporters can follow the event live online. ....

The museum currently has some 30 free online exhibits including “Listening to Wampanoag Voices: Beyond 1620.” With this year marking 400 years since the Wampanoag Nation first encountered English immigrants on the shores of Patuxet — now called Plymouth — the Museum asked members of the tribe to reflect on objects in its collection spanning four centuries. ....
