The Winnipeg Goldeyes continued to piece together their 2021 roster with the addition of two players Wednesday.
Reyes, who hails from the Dominican Republic, spent 2019 with New Jersey in the CanAm League where he finished with an ERA of 3.71 and a 9-4 record. The 30-year-old spent five seasons playing for low-level Milwaukee Brewers affiliates and is currently playing for Caracas in the Venezuelan Winter Leauge.
The 24-year-old Scafariello was with the CanAm League’s Ottawa Champions in 2019 after a three-year collegiate career with Quinnipiac. He was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 38th round of the 2015 MLB Draft out of high school, though never played any games for the organization. With the Champions in 2019, Scafariello appeared in five games where he drove in one run and stole a base.
