That something is painting instructor, Bob Ross, and from midday Friday 25 December, SBS VICELAND will screen a marathon of The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross.
The soft and sure sound of Bob s voice evokes encouragement. He spurs us on, even when we haven t progressed much beyond finger-painting in kindergarten. He makes us feel like we can really do it, and more importantly, have fun along the way. Bob Ross died 25 years ago, but his show has become beloved all over again.
