A major consumer goods watchdog group Consumer Reports has issued a warning to mothers and gift-givers that popular dark chocolate is laced with toxic heavy metals.
Nassau County resident Christopher Lazazzaro filed a proposed class action suit Wednesday, saying he would not have bought the company s dark chocolate bars if he knew they contained metals.
A Consumer Reports study has found that there may be traces of metal found in some of the dark chocolate brands, including Hershey's, Lindt, and Trader Joe's.
