The Historic Sandpoint Shopping District is hosting a “Spring Fling” event Saturday, allowing participants to collect stamps in their “shopping passports” at various businesses for a chance to win a raffle.
For almost 35 years, The Idaho Mythweaver has shared stories of Native Americans of the Plateau region primarily over public radio. Today we’re also creating podcasts that are available at mythweaver.org (and Spotify and Apple Podcasts) as Voices of the Wild Earth. Thanks to grants from the Idaho Humanities Council, Bonner County Human Rights Task Force, and Idaho Forest Group, eleven programs to date offer Indigenous wisdom about living in harmony with nature and each other.
The community is invited to join the Suzuki String Academy for the first concert in its Candlelight Series Holiday Classics this weekend.
Concerts will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at the Heartwood Center in Sandpoint.
The downtown shopping district will be sprinkled with deals this weekend, encouraging residents to shop locally for Christmas gifts on Small Business Saturday.
Many shops are featuring unique raffles or putting their own twist on the day.
