Over 220 people travelled from as far and wide as Monaghan, Cork and Clare to attend Cycle Against Suicide’s Orange Tie Ball event on Saturday, November 11.
Ireland is ranked as the 4th highest on teen suicides out of 31 European countries according to UNICEF and a study by the Royal College of Surgeons reports that by the age of thirteen, one in three Irish children are likely to have some form of mental health difficulty.
The 2023 Orange Tie Ball in aid of Cycle Against Suicide was launched by the Wexford Rose, Brónagh Hogan, in the Ashdown Park Hotel last week. Brónagh is a strong supporter of promoting positive mental health with teenagers and young adults.
