Vanished including a hollywood kidnapping thriller movie. we hear more now from cbs s lilia luciano. reporter: tonight, police provide some answers to the many questions that followed a bizarre story of objection in birmingham. when carlee russell disappeared after making an alarming call to 911. i am on interstate 459, and there is this kid that is walking by their self. reporter: her family says she was on the phone with her sister-in-law, who said they heard her scream. we pretty much know exactly what took place from the time she left work until she got on the 911 call, and we can see, getting out of the car, on the interstate, from that footage, and after that, i think she only knows. reporter: she told police the orange haired man had kept her in the back of an 18-wheeler. police say during the investigation it was revealed that she had made questionable internet searches days and hours before vanishing. including about the hollywood kidnapping thrillr taken.

So the difference is a candidate that s a believable change agent. has the ability to draw out that base but if you re about change and actually rewriting the rules of the game, our base comes out. we can beat this guy and then do the things that will end trumpism which is a threat that will continue long after our orange-haired friend is gone. as a new york city mayor showing up on that debate stage in a coup of weeks, you have to differentiate yourself. a lot of people will be against donald trump but you keep saying working people first. what have you instituted in new york that you think would be relatable nationally instead of just being the big new york city that would be relatable and what s the policy that you would want if you only had one question to answer, what you had done in new york that would work around the country. when i talk to people about pre-k for all, it is universally appreciated, cuts across
President obama. one can presume she would run as a democrat. you, sir, as a democratic congressman, what do you think of this news? i m delighted that all kinds of people, including oprah winfrey, might be interested in the democratic nomination, but right now we have a job to do in 2018 and that is to restore the checks and balances of the constitution by winning the midterm elections. that s the only check and balance we will put on this orange haired president and the oval office who as we know through fire and fury is not up to the job but is a danger to the republic. i m focussed in 2018. i don t think anyone cares what his hair looks like, but beyond that he cares what his hair looks like. on a serious note, you know, what does it say about the democratic party and can you name a democrat who would beat owe from? i m not going to speculate on 2020. i m focused on 2018. we ll get to the 2020 election
