Telco provider Optus is partnering with tech giant Uber to deliver mobile phones to customers’ homes within an hour, setting a new level of convenience in mobile retail business.
Optus will leverage Uber’s services to deliver new mobile phones to customers’ homes in select areas within an hour.
The pilot program, in collaboration with Uber, will deliver the phones to existing customers near Optus stores in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane via Uber Direct.
Optus managing director of marketing and revenue Matt Williams notes that the company continues to push innovative options to create strong digital experiences for customers.

Optus and Uber have joined forces to offer customers instant gratification through an ultra-fast device delivery service from select Yes Optus stores in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.
In an Australian first, the pilot program with Uber makes it even easier, and quicker, for Optus customers to connect with the things they love with more flexibility and choice over their Optus experience – and access to the latest smartphones to customers homes in around an hour .
