May 04, 2021 01:30:01 PM Former Opposition Leader Sitiveni Rabuka is calling on government not to spend $7 million on the construction of a new building for the Office of the Prime Minister. Rabuka in a social media post said the country cannot afford such a luxury at this time and the timing is wrong for the government to spend to be spent $7 million on a swanky five floor office in an already heritage listed building. He said there is a need for the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama to have some common sense and decency in this time of severe economic hardship the people are facing.

Former Prime Minister and former Opposition Leader Sitiveni Rabuka says he has spoken to the Registrar of Political Parties in relation to the registration of his planned proposed political party.
On his official Facebook page, Rabuka says Mohammed Saneem has advised him on what to do.
Rabuka says he will let the people know as soon as they have a name reserved and when it is registered.

It is being suggested on the official facebook page of former Prime Minister and former Opposition Leader Sitiveni Rabuka that he is planning to form a proposed political party, People’s Alliance.
It says the planned proposed People’s Alliance implies unity, cross-race co-operation and also brings back to the people of Fiji the name that took us through independent negotiations through the first 17 years of independence.
