UPHC Wokha conducts free health camp - Eastern Mirror

Dimapur, Oct. 16 (EMN): Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC), Wokha, conducted a health camp at Wokha Town Council (WTC) office on October 15, informed an update from chief medical officer, Wokha. The health camp, held in collaboration with District AIDS Programme Control Unit, Mobile ICTC, NUN LWS Wokha, and District Vector Borne Office, provided free health services to Wokha Town Council staff, shopkeepers and business establishment owners. A total of 87 beneficiaries availed services such as general health check up, RBS, ABO RH typing, HIV, HCV, Hbsag, Malaria, Tetanus and Covid-19 vaccine. Medical officer of Nyiro Primary Health Centre, Dr. Thungjamo Jungio, and Dr. Niya Kath, dermatologist at District Hospital Wokha, along with UPHC staffs, ward ASHA, Mobile ICTC, surveillance worker and Indian Social Responsibility Network team conducted the health camp. Nagaland: UPHC Wokha conducts outreach health camp

Dimapur, Sep. 26 (EMN): Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC) under the establishment of chief medical officer (CMO), Wokha, in collaboration with DAPCU, Mobile ICTC, NUN LWS Wokha, DVBO (NVBDCP), organised an outreach health camp at Tsumang ‘A’ Colony in Wokha town on September 24. The outreach health camp, led by Dr. Thungjamo E Jungio, medical officer of Nyiro PHC, was organised with an objective to reach out to people and establish faith and cordial relation with the residents, an update from the CMO’s office stated. During the programme, Oponthung Kinghen, UPHC district consultant, has highlighted on the importance of outreach health camp in the community, providing free screening and testing, giving health related awareness, distribute free medicines to treat common diseases and refer major cases.
