A few minutes or so. beth, with a welcome back to you. we re about a half an hour away from this rally starting. we ve got lots of folks here and more continuing to stream in. lots of bernie sanders fans here. who would go see their guy no matter what. don t forget, he won the democratic primary here in 2016 over hillary clinton. in november, as you said, deep red west virginia prevailed. donald trump won by 42 points. the reason bernie sanders is here today is because of shelley moore capito, his colleague in the senate. a republican, probably the most popular politician in west virginia, and she is on the fence about health care right now. she wants to repeal obamacare. she voted 40 times to do so when she was in the house. now as a asenator, she s got problems with proposed cuts to medicaid and cuts to programs to help people with opoid abuse, which is a big problem here in west virginia and elsewhere. we caught up with the senator to ....
Talk to her about what her concerns are about the health care bill. this is what she had to say. i ve been doing a lot of talking since i ve been home. with a lot of people. i m still very concerned about the medicaid, expanded medicaid portion. west virginia has a large amount of folks, over 160,000. while the opoid money is a terrific ad for us as being one of the state s most highly affected, i m still going to look at the details because i still have some pretty serious questions about where the bill is. so you heard what she had to say. she still has some pretty serious concerns. senate is going back to washington this week. senator mccconnell, the majorit leader, wants to get it over the top, to get that necessary number of republicans to sign on with a very big change. and really basically decimation of obamacare. but as you can hear, senator capito is not ready to say yes to that. guess where bernie sanders is going after this rally, alex, he s going to continue to ....
