Fortnite saw the return of X-4 Stormwing planes with the Operation Snowdown holiday event. Despite that now being over, some of these planes are still available on the map, but a change compared to their original launch has rendered them far less attractive
They no longer have infinite fuel. They, like cars and boats, have to get filled up at a gas station (or with a gas canister) after a short time behind the wheel. One boost in the plane eats nearly a quarter tank of gas.

Fortnite players who log in from December 30 to January 5 can earn a nice free gift in the form of the Confetti Wrap – provided they stoke two campfires that are located across the game map.
The Confetti Wrap is available as part of Operation Snowdown, this year’s festive set of challenges that each come with their own rewards. Players who complete enough daily challenges, as issued by Snowmando, can earn their own Snowmando skin.
The latest and final challenge, which tasks the player with stoking two campfires, provides the best single day reward of the entire giveaway, provided you’re able to find the location of two campfires across the Fornite game world.
But as the company are known for launching New Year’s events in the past, it wouldn’t be surprising to learn something is being planned for the start of 2021.
A new rift appearing in the sky would also make sense, as we already know that more characters will be arriving in Fortnite Season 5.
