Community rallies to save OKC's only Black-owned bookstore

Oklahoma City’s only Black-owned bookstore is in a fight to survive the economic turmoil triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Nappy Roots Bookstore opened on Juneteenth in 2018, a day that celebrates the emancipation of slaves in the United States. And for the months that followed, Nappy Roots became a focal point for the Black community where owner Camille Landry has joined visitors at times of celebration, protest, enlightenment and mourning.
