Nokia’s CEO Pekka Lundmark (above) warned of a tough year ahead for the vendor’s mobile network infrastructure unit, with particular pressure coming in North America, where the company has lost market share (mainly at Verizon) and where “price erosion” is hurting margins. In fact, the company, having reported today a 4% dip in full year revenues (at constant currency exchange rates) to €21.87 billion, said it expects sales to dip again in 2021, to between €20.6 billion and €21.8 billion.
