Some tough times for Nokia and BT, and an intriguing new open source development that has Deutsche Telekom’s blessing, lead the way in today’s news charge.  
Nokia’s CEO Pekka Lundmark (above) warned of a tough year ahead for the vendor’s mobile network infrastructure unit, with particular pressure coming in North America, where the company has lost market share (mainly at Verizon) and where “price erosion” is hurting margins. In fact, the company, having reported today a 4% dip in full year revenues (at constant currency exchange rates) to €21.87 billion, said it expects sales to dip again in 2021, to between €20.6 billion and €21.8 billion. Lundmark is still in the relatively early part of his tenure as CEO (and at a very tough time in general, of course), and is looking to a longer term turnaround for the ve ....
