Wellington Dukes GM moves on as team announces new roles

The Wellington Dukes have announced a change to their front office.
In a statement today, the OJHL team says that General Manager Todd Reid has resigned “to further develop his skills as a hockey executive and coach.”
Head Coach Derek Smith will now wear another hat and be the new VP of Hockey Operations. He has also agreed to a new five-year contact.
Assistant Coach Tyler Longo will also have another title, as the new Director of Player Personnel.
Head Scout Rob Ridgley will now be the General Manager.
Don Cotton will continue his role as Assistant GM. ....

G-Hawks add forward

Whether there will be an OJHL season or not the Trenton Golden Hawks continue to wheel and deal.
The G-Hawks have acquired 20-year-old forward Phil Caron. Caron split last season between the OHL’s Sudbury Wolves and the Timmins Rock of the Northern Ontario Junior “A” League. It’s expected Caron will play on Trenton’s top line.
Trenton coach and general manager Peter Goulet says “Caron has spent time in the Ontario Hockey League and contributes offensively everywhere he goes.”
Meanwhile the Golden Hawks would like to play more exhibition games before Christmas and have made an application to the Ontario Junior Hockey League ....
