NC State Edges Florida State, 19-17

NC State intercepted Jordan Travis’ pass in the end zone with 38 seconds left in the game to hold on for a 19-17 win over Florida State in Raleigh, N.C. Saturday night. The Wolfpack (5-1) relied on four field goals from Chris Dunn and a stingy defense to win their 14th straight home game. While FSU (4-2) scored all 17 of its points in the second quarter, the Seminoles mounted a game-closing drive moving the ball to the NCSU 22-yard line before the turnover. Jordan Travis was 15-of-30 through the air for 181 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions.  He was also FSU’s leading rusher with 108 yards on seven carries.  Running back Treshaun Ward had 51-yards on just five carries before an injury ended his night early in the second quarter. NC State quarterback Devin Leary completed 10-of-21 passes for a touchdown and threw one interception before leaving the game in the second half with an injury.  Jordan Houston led the Wolfpack ground game with 90 yards on 24 carries. Jammie Robinson Named ACC Defensive Back of the Week

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State safety Jammie Robinson was named the ACC Defensive Back of the Week Monday after recording 13 tackles and one quarterback hurry Saturday against No. 22 Wake Forest. Robinson’s 13 tackles were a season high and the most for a Seminole this season. The Cordele, Georgia, native now leads FSU with 34 tackles on the season and has 10 career double-digit tackle games, including five at Florida State. This is Robinson’s second ACC Player of the Week honor – he also won for his career-best 18 tackles last season at Florida. Robinson is the fifth Seminole to earn player of the week recognition this season. Seminoles Race By Boston College 44-14

Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis set career-highs for both passing yards and total offense in leading the Seminoles to a 44-14 win over Boston College in Tallahassee on Saturday. The win pushed FSU’s record to 4-0 and the Seminoles are off to their best start since 2015.

Travis completed 16-of-26 passes for 321 yards and a touchdown, and gained 16 yards on his only rush for a career-best 338 yards of total offense in just three quarters of play.

Florida State’s Trey Benson returned the opening kickoff 93-yards for a touchdown and the Seminoles never looked back in the convincing win. It was the first kickoff return for a touchdown by the Seminoles since Kermit Whitfield’s 100-yard return in the 2014 Rose Bowl National Championship game win over Auburn.
