Richlands man Onslow County Sheriff's arrested sexual assault

Deputies have put another alleged sex offender behind bars after a report came in about a Richlands man sexually abusing a child.
On Jan. 14 the Onslow County Sheriff s Office first received the report and began their investigation with their Special Victims Unit. On Feb. 3 deputies concluded their investigation after learning 24-year-old Caleb Michael Lee Sydes was allegedly sexually abusing a minor female.
Sydes and the victim are reported to have known each other as he is also accused of sending inappropriate pictures of himself to the girl.
Deputies arrested Sydes without incident. He resides on Gregory Fork Road in Richlands and is charged with two counts of felony statutory sex offense with a child 15 years or younger, felony incident liberties, felony solicit child by computer, and felony disseminating obscene material to a minor under the age of 16. ....

Onslow County Sheriff's Good Fellas Bar shooting one arrest

The Onslow County Sheriff s Office have made an arrest from a bar shooting two days after Christmas.
On Dec. 27, deputies responded to the GoodFellas Bar on Highway 258 in Jacksonville after receiving a 9-1-1 call that a person had been shot.
During the initial investigation, deputies found that the person who was shot was trying to diffuse an argument when a gun shot was fired. The victim was hit in the abdomen and taken to a local hospital by a friend, according to a release from the OCSO.
Eyewitness statements were taken and a description of the alleged shooter was identified as Seqwill Entrell Hauser, 26, of York Street in Jacksonville. ....

Jacksonville woman charged hospital insurance fraud Aflac

A Jacksonville woman has been charged with fraud while allegedly using fake hospital bills in order to obtain the insurance money from the payout.
Catelynn Nicolle Marstin, 31, of 404 S. Bridge Drive in Jacksonville is charged with eight counts of insurance fraud, four counts of obtaining property by false pretense and four counts of attempting to obtain property by false pretense, all of which are felonies.
Marstin is accused of filing fraudulent medical records from Onslow Memorial Hospital in order to obtain insurance claims payments from Aflac.
According to the arrest warrants, Marstin obtained $27,320 from Aflac as a result of the false claims and attempted to obtain an additional $34,675. The offenses occurred between July 10, 2018, and May 1, 2019. ....

Jacksonville Police cyber tip crimes against children arrest

A joint investigation and cyber tip led officers to the arrest of a man they say is accused of crimes against children.
Anthony Preston Littleton, 47, of 3 Rogers Avenue in Jacksonville, was arrested by the Jacksonville Police Department and charged with three felony counts of 2nd degree sexual exploitation of a minor. Littleton is currently detained in the Onslow County Jail under a $75,000 bond, according to a news release from JPD.
N.C. Courts has Littleton s first court appearance scheduled for Thursday morning in Onslow County District Court.
Officers say they recently received a cyber tip from the North Carolina Internet Crimes Against Children (NCICAC) Task Force. JPD Detective Jason Griess launched an investigation with the assistance of the NC State Bureau of Investigation and the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office regarding the tip. ....
