Taaooma, others shortlisted for youth award The Punch Published 2 May 2021 A cross section of 50 youths have been selected as finalists for the 2021 edition of the 10 Outstanding Young Persons Award of the Junior Chamber International Nigeria. The Chairperson, 2021 JCI Nigeria TOYP Award Planning Committee, Oluwakemi Irinoye, stated that the finalists were selected by the award panel of judges out of the shortlisted 50 from the initial total of 1,027 entries received for this year’s edition of the award. She noted that the finalists would move on to the voting phase for honours in the 10 categories of the award, which would be determined by the general public.

Some of the awardees. In commemoration of the 2021 Martin Luther King Day, the A. D. King Foundation, a US-based non-profit, has awarded the African Luther King Heroes Awards to 10 “extraordinary and outstanding Nigerians” in honour of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The announcement was made at the virtual maiden edition of the African Luther King Summit on Friday, January 29, with Dr. Naomi Barber Luther King and Dr. Melinda H. Barrow, Founder, 6th Region Global Chamber of Commerce, and Mrs. Aisha Yesufu, human rights activist, in attendance. A statement said the awardees were carefully selected based on their courage, leadership, work as agents of change, investments in youths and enterprise development and have also shown tangible result from their community-oriented work, emulating Dr. King in leadership and philosophy.

Jubilation in Ile Ife as QMA initiative unveils Olufunso Amosun cash grant On Kindly Share This Story: It was dancing, singing and jubilation galore at Enuwa Palace, Ile-Ife on the 7th December, 2020, when the Queen Moremi Ajasoro, QMA initiative, under the headship of Princess Ronke Ademiluyi, the Moremi Global Ambassador put smiles on the faces of up to 250 women. The women were presented with empowerment grant courtesy the  former  first lady of Ogun state and Yeye Moremi of the source, Olufunso Amosun, as part of the activities  to commemorate the fifth coronation anniversary of  Ooni of Ile-Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Babatunde Ogunwusi.
