The DOH is reporting a COVID-19 count of 1,384 today, including 71 on Maui and two on Molokaʻi. The latest data represents a total of 13,966 “active” cases statewide over two week, surpassing the Delta peak of 11,500.
There were 1,511 new COVID-19 cases in Hawaiʻi today, including 1,293 on Oʻahu, and 101 in Maui County.
There were also three new deaths–two on Hawaiʻi Island, and one on Kauaʻi.
Statewide, there were 68 COVID-19 hospitalizations on Thursday. As of this morning, there are 5 people hospitalized with COVID-19 on Maui, including one in the ICU.
The latest data represents a total of 5,634 “active” cases statewide over two weeks. Maui County’s seven day average of cases peaked at 57.6 per 100,000 on Aug. 25, and has been on a steady decline since the beginning of September. Today’s seven day average on Maui ticked up to 18.1 cases per 100,000.
