The central province of Quang Tri has the highest rate of mine and bomb pollution in Vietnam with 81% of the province’s total land area littered with dangerous ordnance of this kind.
To speed up the settlement of bomb and mine consequences, Vietnam needs stronger cooperation and support from international partners, thus ensuring that no more people are killed or injured due to the post-war bombs, mines and unexploded ordnances (UXO), according to the Vietnam Mine Action Centre (VNMAC).
Construction work at the Long Thanh International Airport project in the southern province of Dong Nai is accelerated to ensure the project's scheduled pace.
