The National Human Rights Committee has launched the first stage of its consultative process to prepare the National Human Rights Action Plan in the UAE during a meeting held by the committee.
The meeting was headed by Dr Anwar Bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the National Human Rights Committee, and included members of the committee, and Dr Omar Abdul Rahman Al-Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Federal National Council, several civil society institutions, and other relevant bodies.
During his remarks, Gargash indicated that despite the unprecedented circumstances caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the UAE has continued to advance in preserving national progress and furthering the efforts of the UAE Government and leadership to uphold the community’s health and safety. ....
