Supreme Committee members visit SQSC, take stock of vaccination work

Dr. Abdullah Nasir Al Harrasi, Minister of Information and member of the Supreme COVID-19 Committee, pointed out that the visit aims to follow-up the implementation of the anti-COVID-19 Immunisation Plan.
Muscat: Members of the Supreme Committee tasked with tackling developments resulting from coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on Sunday visited the immunisation centre at Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex (SQSC) to have a close look at the process of vaccination of target segments against COVID-19 as part of the ongoing National Immunisation Campaign.
The committee members listened to a briefing about the procedures set from the start of registration of target segments to the moment of vaccination. They were updated about the mechanisms of coordination and reception of entitled groups, as well as precautionary measures undertaken. 46 people died from COVID-19 between Thursday and Saturday, with 24 people dying from the disease on Saturday alone, pushing the death toll to 2,513
Muscat: More than 2,500 people in Oman have died from COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic, figures released by the Ministry of Health show.
Oman recorded 46 deaths last Thursday and over the weekend, with 24 people dying from the disease on Saturday alone, pushing the death toll to 2,513.  
The country also reported 4,415 new cases of infection during this period: 1,622 on Thursday, 1,311 on Friday, and 1,482 on Saturday. In total, 234,634 people have been infected with COVID-19, as of 13 June, 2021. However, the recovery rate holds steady at 90 per cent, with 210,952 people infected with the disease having recovered so far. ....
