POLICE are still investigating a crash in Blandford in which a teenager died. The inquest into the death of 17-year-old Oliver Quartley opened at Bournemouth Town Hall yesterday. Senior coroner’s officer Ian Parry said: “Police and ambulance were called to the Blandford bypass (A354) following reports of a road traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. “The pedestrian, known to be Oliver Quartley, was confirmed deceased at the scene. Police are undertaking enquiries into the circumstances of the incident.”
READ MORE: A post-mortem revealed Mr Quartley died of head and chest injuries. Assistant coroner for Dorset Brendan Allen adjourned the inquest until December 6 and said he would not request statements until the police investigation was carried out.
