EASTON For seven straight years, about 300 students graduating from Oliver Ames High School have taken a day off from classes in April each year to participate in a public service tradition called the Day of KindNess. The event is held in memory of Devin Ness, an Oliver Ames High School senior and captain of the wrestling team, who died suddenly from an aneurysm in 2013. But the COVID-19 pandemic has threatened the event, which started in 2013, for a second straight year. There might not be a Day of KindNess held this year, because of COVID-19, said Brad Ness, Devin s father. Instead, a local business has stepped up to contribute in Devin Ness name. ....
