Finding a house can be like finding a partner for a relationship. You’ve really got to have a connection with the person or the space.
And some houses are meant for a specific buyer, someone who appreciates a particular style or architecture – Victorian, Arts and Crafts or Modern, for example.
In a market like Rochester, with an inventory of mostly traditional homes, selling a unique home can add a little extra time and stress to the sales process.
But it’s important for true home and design afficionados to sell to an appreciative, knowledgeable buyer, “one who understands the architectural significance of a home and is interested in maintaining it and keeping its original style,” says Angie Flack Brown, a realtor with Keller Williams of Greater Rochester.
