The government has identified 11 heritage structures in the city that require urgent repair and restoration. The restoration works include preparatory works, waterproofing, structural restoration, roof works, consolidation, crack stitching, plastering, joinery, flooring, anti-termite treatment, and services upgradation. The government has submitted a proposal for the restoration of these heritage buildings with an estimated cost of Rs 96.8 crore. The District Heritage Committee and experts have recommended the restoration works without altering the original structure of the heritage buildings.
