Old Curiosity Distillery changes name and appoints MD 29th April, 2021 by Nicola Carruthers Edinburgh’s Old Curiosity Distillery will change its name to The Secret Garden Distillery to emphasise the company’s ‘rooted in nature’ values. Old Curiosity Distillery will become The Secret Garden Distillery Effective from 3 May 2021, the distillery will also rename its products ‘Secret Garden Gin’. The move will accentuate the company’s links to its botanical garden. Founded by entrepreneur and herbologist Hamish Martin, The Old Curiosity Distillery is located on a 7.5-acre site based outside of Edinburgh, Scotland. The distillery was established in 2017. The site was purchased by Martin and his wife Liberty in 2012 with the aim of creating The Secret Herb Garden, which has more than 600 varieties of herbs and plants.
