Relief came for the Speaker of the Ondo state House of Assembly, Rt Hon Bamidele Oleyelogun and three others as the states High Court terminated a contempt suit against them.
The court had served the leadership of the assembly contempt charges for their failure to lift the suspension placed on four lawmakers and payment of their entitlements.
Rt Hon Oleyelogun, the Clerk Bode Adeyelu, Parliamentary Secretary, Hon Abayomi Akinruntan and the Deputy-Majority leader, Hon Oladiji Adesanmi were served form 49 (contempt of court committal) by the Ondo State High Court. ....

The Ondo State House of Assembly has lifted the suspension order placed on four members of the Assembly barely 72 hours before the leadership of the Assembly would have been charged to Court for contempt.
The four lawmakers include the former Deputy Speaker, Iroju Ogundeji, Favour Tomomewo, Adewinle Adewale Williams and Akinrindibo Leonard.
The suspended lawmakers were amongst the nine that did not sign the impeachment notice serve the deputy governor, Hon Agboola Ajayi.

The Ondo lawmakers were suspended for rejecting the impeachment plans of the deputy governor.

The bitter fight in the Ondo State House of Assembly has taken another turn as the speaker, Bamidele Oleyeloogun, and three others are set to be arraigned for contempt of court.
The three others to be arraigned alongside the speaker are the clerk of the house, Bode Adeyele; the parliamentary secretary, Abayomi Akinruntan and the deputy-majority leader, Oladiji Adesanmi.

The Speaker of the Ondo state House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Bamidele Oleyeloogun and three others would on December 17 this year be arraigned in court for contempt of court.
This followed the service of form 49 (contempt of court committal) by the Ondo state High Court on them over their failure to obey the court’s order to reinstate four suspended lawmakers of the Assembly.
Others served by the court include the Clerk Bode Adeyelu, Parliamentary Secretary, Hon Abayomi Akinruntan and the Deputy-Majority leader, Hon Oladiji Adesanmi. ....
