That guy I call “Honey” has a birthday on April 14.
We’ve had a lot of years together. He’s had lots of years to himself. I hope he knows which ones were better!
Meanwhile, I have to give him credit for teaching me to think in terms of being happy.
By nature, my resting state is melancholy. His resting state is, well, resting. He hits the pillow and goes right to sleep. 
Meeting Ray, aka Honey, was random. I wasn’t looking for anyone new, and neither was he. Gratefully, we ended up with our own Happily Ever After. He’s the opposite of me. You’ve probably heard about the eternal optimist: one who looks for the pony in a room full of manure . . . that’s my guy! Oh, and he’d really appreciate the manure, anyway, even if the pony failed to appear. He’s a Master Gardener! ....
