we were there this morning when governor branstad announced the creation of the wrongful conviction division to be run by the state public defender s office. the focus of the new division will be to identify potential cases involving inmates who have been wrongfully convicted, as well as to pursue available legal remedies. gov. branstad: this division of the public defender s office will take the lead to move forward with postconviction relief, to see that the innocent people that may have been convicted are represented, and they get their day in court. mollie: the fbi recently admitted serious errors in cases involving hair comparision analysis. the new division will work to determine if similar errors have occurred in cases here in iowa. turning to news from around iowa now the iowa state patrol is , investigating the death of a woman whose body was found near near shellsburg. that truck was stolen yesterday in benton county. two men who came upon the scene soon notic ....
