The Member representing Umuahia North constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon Kelechi Onuzuruike has lamented the erosion menace ravaging part of Ohuhu Umuahia axis of the state.
Onuzuruike called for urgent government action on the gully erosion menace, warning that it is capable of causing havoc if not controlled.
He said the current gully erosion was about to submerge the major road leading to his constituency.
Onuzuruike raised his concerns in a motion raised as a matter of urgent public importance during plenary at the Abia State House of Assembly, Tuesday.
He stressed the importance of the road to his constituents, as their major access point to the Umuahia metropolis, expressing deep concern over the grave danger posed by the erosion to lives and properties of his constituents and other road users. ....
