US Senator caught using fake Zoom background of home office while driving Newshub 6 hrs ago © The Ohio Channel Watch: Andrew Brenner is seen driving during the meeting.
A US Senator has been caught using a fake background during a Zoom meeting which masked the fact he was driving on the same day a bill was introduced in the state which aimed to crack down on distracted driving.
When Ohio State Senator Andrew Brenner dialled into the meeting for the Ohio Controlling Board on Monday he was seen sitting in a parked car.
But then footage of the meeting, which was streamed live, showed Brenner disappearing for a moment and when he returned his background appeared to show him in a home office, surrounded by cabinets and with art hanging on the walls.

Zoom is currently one of the popular video chat applications used by different companies and organizations. Some government officials also use it.
However, this scenario just proved that using Zoom s background to hide what you are doing during a virtual meeting is not your best choice.

The Ohio State Senator Andrew Brenner learned the hard lesson after his Zoom virtual background failed to hide that he is actually driving during a video meeting. Another funny thing about this scenario is that the now-viral senator is also taking a bill that would make additional penalties for distracted driving.

Ohio State Senator
Andrew Brenner logged into a public Zoom meeting with what looked like an office background. Who cares? He was also sporting a seat belt. And that’d be because, yes, he was participating in the meeting while behind the wheel. The irony? Part of the meeting was to
consider distracted driving legislation. While Brenner appeared to be looking around in parts, he insists he was not driving distracted and admits this wasn’t his first Zoom call from behind the wheel. Check out the video for yourself
