And so it is with deep sorrow that we are missing Marvin H. Staiman, who passed from this life earlier this year.
To say his passing has left a void would be an understatement of the loudest nature.
The fact that he is no longer among us, writing by hand notes to friends and community members alike, leaves a deafening silence.
For some, those letters represented the warmth of friendship.
To others, they represented respect.
And to untold others, those letters represented the type of quiet leadership that encouraged a person through the unwritten and unspoken message “You’re doing a good job” particularly where community participation is involved.
