Illegal bunkering: NSCDC apprehends 5 suspects, impounds vehicles in Imo

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has announced the arrest of five people suspected of involvement in illegal oil bunkering in Imo.According to the NSCDC Commandant in Imo, Mr Matthew Ovye, four vehicles were impounded from the suspects.Ovye said on Tuesday in Owerri that the suspects were arrested at Abacheke and Agwa communities

Nigerian Military, Others Gun Down Seven Alleged IPOB Members, Recover Guns, Bombs

No fewer than seven suspected members of the Eastern Security Network (ESN), the militant wing of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) were killed between August 25 and September 8, Nigerian Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has said.   DHQ said the suspected ESN members were killed in the Southeast Nigeria states of Anambra and Imo, adding that arms and ammunition, including four Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) were recovered.
