Three people who were arrested yesterday during the Kiamokama by-election in Kisii have been charged with uttering offensive words.
The three; businessman cum politician Don Bosco Gichana, a former Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi s staff Dalfant Nyatige and another man identified as Moenga were arrested on Thursday morning alongside UDA candidate Nyakerimba Nyandusi in the by-election.
They appeared before the Ogembo Law courts and were each released on a Sh15,000 cash bail or bond of Sh30,0000. ....

Eight Nduru Boys Secondary school students charged

Eight students from Nduru Boys High School Kisii were on Monday afternoon charged at the Ogembo Law Court.
The eight were arrested late last week by detectives from Nyamarambe Police station in South Mugirango.
They were in possession of petrol and are alleged to have planned to burn the school Thursday last week.
They were released on Sh150,000 bail or a bond of Sh200,000.
Tuesday afternoon police also arrested one student from Nyangwenta SDA Secondary after a dormitory was razed down in the institution Monday night.
The arrested student and his accomplice are alleged to have burnt a dormitory with a holding capacity of 160 students. ....
